Emergency Fundraiser
Right now Villa is raising funds for Caritas Australia’s Nepal Floods Appeal to support communities who have been devastated by the recent flash floods.
This Friday (Sept. 11) 26 year 9 students and staff will walk the Mt Coot-tha Summit Track. While Mt Coot-tha rises to 287 metres, the Langtang Lirung avalanche collapse zone is over 5,000 metres above sea level, highlighting the scale and remoteness of the disaster.
The students hope that their small physical challenge will help them perhaps better understand the challenges of those people impacted by the disaster. Their efforts are an act of solidarity with the Nepali people. Students also hope to work together and support Caritas relief efforts by raising $500. Their fundraising is an act of hope.
By donating to this appeal, our community not only supports those affected by the floods in Nepal but also stands in solidarity with our Year 9 students, encouraging and motivating them as they undertake this challenge and raise funds for this important cause.

Mount Coot-tha Summit Walk for Nepal
Last Friday, our Year 9 Rite Journey students and staff walked the Mt Coot-tha Summit Track in solidarity with communities affected by the devastating glacier collapse in Nepal and Tibet on 26 August.
As they walked, each student carried a stone as a reminder of those impacted by the disaster.
At the summit, students created a Cairn of Compassion and raised Tibetan prayer flags inscribed with messages of peace, strength and wisdom. They also gathered in prayer, reflecting on hope, service and remembrance.
Please help us reach our target of $1000. We are over the halfway mark. Stand alongside us as we put faith in action for the people of Nepal/Tibet.
