I’m fundraising for Caritas Australia’s Emergency Fundraiser to support communities impacted by disasters and crises. Together, we can deliver urgent humanitarian assistance in places like Sudan, Gaza, Asia, and Ukraine.

My Impact
Disasters such as earthquakes, floods, famine, conflict, drought and storms can strike anywhere, at any time, and it’s always the poorest and most vulnerable who are affected first and hardest. By fundraising for Caritas Australia’s Emergency Response Appeals, you help ensure life‑saving support reaches communities in crisis as quickly as possible—providing food, clean water, emergency shelter, hygiene kits and cash assistance through our trusted global Caritas network, while also supporting long‑term recovery so communities can rebuild stronger.
Gaza
In partnership with local partners on the ground, we have supported over:
- 860,000 people in Gaza and thousands more across the region.
- 820,000 people with food parcels.
- 156,000 people with bedding supplies.
- 115,000 people with hygiene supplies.
Sudan
In partnership with CAFOD, and local partners SOS Sahel and ERRADA, we have supported:
- 3,195 households with cash assistance.
- 98,322 people with access to water, sanitation and hygiene services.
- 15,680 people with protection services.
- Food distribution at 17 gathering points for internally displaced people.
Lebanon
In partnership with Caritas Lebanon, we have supported:
- 37 centres offering rent support and cash assistance for bills and school fees.
- 10 primary healthcare centres and 8 mobile clinics delivering diagnosis, treatment, mental health services and distributing essential medications.
- 80 hospitals receiving secondary healthcare support, covering hospital fees.
Ukraine
In partnership with local partners on the ground, we have supported:
- 4.8 million people
- 2,000 internally displaced people received emergency accommodation, food, medicine, clothing, and psychological support
- 2,500 women and children can be housed in emergency shelters providing safety, food and medicine amid ongoing air raids
- 1,000 people each day are receiving food at border crossings as they flee the conflict.
