Compassion Hub – Fundraise for the Emergency Response Fund – Terms and Conditions
1. Acceptance of Caritas Australia’s Compassion Hub Website Terms and Conditions
Your access to and use of the Compassion Hub website (the “website”) is subject exclusively to these Terms and Conditions. By using the website, you agree to fully accept the terms, conditions, and disclaimers contained in this document. If you do not accept these Terms and Conditions, you must immediately stop using the website. These terms govern your participation in the Compassion Hub, a fundraising campaign operated by Caritas Australia. These Terms and Conditions apply to all users of the Compassion Hub website and fundraising platforms, including schools, parishes, individuals, and community groups who participate in the campaign.
2. How donations are used
Donations made to your Compassion Hub Emergency Response Fund fundraiser go towards Caritas Australia’s Emergency Response Fund and will be used to provide humanitarian assistance to communities affected by crisis around the world. Funds raised through your page cannot be reverted to another Caritas Australia appeal. Should circumstances prevent us from delivering aid to this emergency, or if excess funds remain after the crisis, donations will be directed to other emergencies where Caritas has humanitarian operations.
3. Credit Card Details
You agree not to use an unauthorized or invalid credit card to make donations through this website.
Subject to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, all donations made to Caritas Australia via the website are final, and refunds will only be considered if
unauthorized use of your credit card can be proven. If you become aware of fraudulent use of your card or if it is lost or stolen, you must immediately notify your card issuer.
4. Fundraising Responsibility
If you create a fundraising page on the Compassion Hub, you agree to ensure that all activities comply with relevant fundraising legislation in your state or territory. You must not engage in misleading, deceptive, or unlawful conduct and agree to promote your Compassion Hub fundraiser in a respectful and appropriate manner.
